The design of wind turbine blades requires structural and material selection that can withstand aerodynamic loads. required criteria for are strong lightweight. Modeling analysis stress values were carried out using MSC Patran/Nastran software. selected is an E-Glass fiber composite with epoxy resin matrix has 8 layers different directions in each layer direction arrangement [0°/±45°/90°]. blade model without a spar compared the double blade. results found had lower value maximum tensile 8.83 MPa, while on was 10.6 compressive 8.68 11 MPa.
